MAP3 proposes a global approach based on architecture, industrial design, shapes’ resistance and climatic behaviours. A building is characterised not only by its geometry and its static scheme, but also by its shaping technology, its attachment to skins, its global situation regarding users and finally the way it occupies space.

Optimisation by calculation and searching for new industrial solutions still are the engineer’s most important tasks, but they have to be associated with cultural thoughts. A project always illustrates the designer’s intentions and their proximity towards the ones who will live in it. Constructive details must remain understandable.

MaP3 is particularly focused on constraints and industry. This point really enriches the structural conception.

World-wide technologies’ enlargements raise new know-how questions in the industry world. In the developing countries, development factors totally reverse diverse construction parameters, such as, for example, the work cost/material cost ratio. Those few backgrounds have a big influence on the project’s progress.

These backgrounds also permit a wider comprehension of our own development models. This kind of retrospect is an essential basis to our approach, and to the innovation process.
