The roof is a felt ceiling inside the existing pavillion.
Our mission was to define and calculate the easiest solution to obtain the double curvature surface designed by the architect.
We have proposed to fix the felt on a steel structure suspended on 7 nodes and deformed by its own weight.
The quadrangular geometry of the grid authorizes the deformations within the surface itself, in order to minimize the "shell" behaviour of the structure.
