Client: Nanterre City
Designers : AGIF (SNCF) - MaP3 (Bet Structure). Gross area : 2500 m2 Span : 66 m Budget : 25 000 000 Euros Expected Completion :2008 Nanterre Railway station is designed to be built above the railways. The constraint is to support the whole building with 4 columns, to avoid supports on the rails area. The slab is suspended by a cable system currently used in bridge construction. The available construction area is very limited, and there is no place to set cables to support the horizontal force on the top of the columns. A compression element is included in the roof to ensure this function. |
