Beam Computation

The figure shows the power on a flat ground theoretically computed, and the consequences of the tower deflection under wind loads, depending on opening angle of the beam in elevation.

• vertical opening angle : 6° (most current case).
  

• vertical opening angle : 4° (the power is reduced by 33%).
  

• vertical opening angle : 2° (the power is reduced by 66%).
  

NB : These three simulations are built assuming the power introduced in the antenna is constant. Thus, the tighter the beam is, the larger is the cell.
